Healing Artist and Tech Innovator
As an experienced product designer living and working in the heart of Silicon Valley, I recognize the need to slow down in this fast-paced environment. A decade ago, I embarked on a journey of internal and spiritual growth. My first sound bath experience revealed the transformative power of sound, igniting a deep passion within me when I realized its healing effects.
In 2024, I graduated from a 100-hour Ceremony of Sound Certification in Santa Cruz, CA. Now, I enjoy guiding others through sonic landscapes and into meditative states to bring more healing into the world.

Sound baths have roots in ancient and modern traditions. In ancient cultures, Tibetan Buddhism used singing bowls for meditation and healing, while Hindu and Yogic traditions employed mantras and sounds like "Om" for spiritual growth. Indigenous cultures incorporated drumming and chanting for healing purposes. In the modern era, sound therapy emerged in the 20th century, utilizing gongs and alchemy crystal bowls to promote relaxation. Today's sound baths blend these ancient and modern traditions to promote physical, emotional, and spiritual well-being.

Sound baths influence brain wave activity, which can be categorized into five types:
Gamma: Highly active
Beta: Alert and focused
Alpha: Relaxed awareness, creativity, heightened learning
Theta: Healing, dream state, meditative state
Delta: Deep relaxation, dreamless sleep
During a sound bath, the frequencies played help bring the brain into a theta state, promoting peace, relaxation, and reducing stress and anxiety.
Sound baths also enhance neural plasticity by transitioning the brain and body from stress to neural coherence. They help activate the parasympathetic nervous system, which calms the body from a state of fight, flight, or freeze to rest and digest. Neural plasticity, the formation of new neural connections, is crucial for adapting to new situations—something that is essential in today's fast-paced world.

Just as you shower daily to cleanse your physical body, it's beneficial to have sound baths periodically to cleanse your mental, emotional, energetic, and spiritual bodies. Participating once a month is great, and once a week is even better!
